Rewriting for Rhythm, Not Just Meaning

Most rewrites focus on meaning, but rhythm is often where a paragraph succeeds or fails.

Rhythm controls confidence, hesitation, and urgency before readers consciously analyse content.

If a sentence has the right information but the wrong pulse, readers feel distance instead of momentum. I read drafts aloud to catch these breaks in energy.

This is one reason I admire poetry even when writing prose.

It reminds me that language is physical as well as logical.
