Why I Am Publishing Now
For years I wrote quietly around teaching, family life, and ordinary responsibilities, never quite finding the right moment to publish.
The work stayed alive, but mostly in notebooks and late drafts.
I am publishing now because the stories feel ready, and because I finally have the time to give them proper care.
I hope readers feel welcome in the same rooms and conversations that changed me while I was writing.
The Bothering books are serious about politics, faith, and public life, but they are also full of people trying their best in imperfect circumstances.
If that sounds like your world too, I think we may get on.
