Writing London Gin with Laughter and Respect

I wanted London Gin to be funny, but never at the expense of people who are already carrying enough.

The comedy had to come from wit, timing, and solidarity.

Humor works best when the writer clearly likes the characters, even when they are being ridiculous.

Readers can feel that generosity immediately. That balance took real revision.

Every joke had to ask, does this warm the world, or flatten it?
